About

indigenous is an independent creative company that provides specialised design and photography services.

Background

Founded in 2010 by Bryn Edward Davies BA MA FRSA, indigenous works across disciplines to produce engaging work with a passion for the arrangement of light and space.

Services

We provide professional design services across multiple platforms. For online and print publications, we create clean, fresh layouts using a combination of photography and typography. We have Autodesk Certified Professional status to deliver 3D models, floor plans, and elevations for commercial and public spaces.

indigenous undertakes photography commissions for brand identity and project documentation. If you are interested in purchasing an award-winning print, requests can be customised to your preference. We work on a print-on-demand basis in order to reduce waste and promote a sustainable mindset.

Clients

Working together with clients and partners on a variety of scales: from managing pilot retail projects and creating master layouts for IKEA, to brand direction for a UK-based charity who specialise in art therapy in prisons. indigenous believes in the importance of a collaborative dialogue to create bold, simple, and deeply personalised results.

Work-Play

indigenous strives to maintain a work-play balance that facilitates a self-sustaining approach to research and development. The self-directed projects indigenous produce explore a deeper appreciation of light and space — with an emphasis on cultural exchange. The energy from this focused play feeds directly into commercial assignments; making work and play interdependent.

Collaborate

Central to a healthy work-play balance is the potential to collaborate with other artists, designers and organisations through public art projects, education and knowledge sharing tasks. We apply our skills to produce creative resources, research reports, and academic studies in spatial design, design thinking, and photography contexts.

Talks

We have spoken about design thinking and photography in academic, commercial, and public arts forums, including:
